Carlo Gesualdo da Venosa (1566-1613) was Prince of Venosa and Count of Conza. As a composer he is known for writing madrigals and pieces of sacred music that use a chromatic language not heard again until the late 19th century. He is also known for murdering his first wife and her aristocratic lover upon finding them in flagrante delicto.
The day after the killings, a delegation of Neapolitan officials inspected the room in Gesualdo's apartment where the killings had taken place, and interrogated witnesses. The delegation's report did not lack in gruesome details, including the mutilation of the corpses and, according to the witnesses, Gesualdo going into the bedroom a second time "because he wasn't certain yet they were dead."
The Gran Corte della Vicaria found Gesualdo had not committed a crime.
The responses to this and to his music have often gone hand in hand.

As for the Republicans - how can one regard seriously a frightened, greedy, nostalgic huddle of tradesmen and lucky idlers who shut their eyes to history and science, steel their emotions against decent human sympathy, cling to sordid and provincial ideals exalting sheer acquisitiveness and condoning artificial hardship for the non-materially-shrewd, dwell smugly and sentimentally in a distorted dream-cosmos of outmoded phrases and principles and attitudes and revel in mendacious assumptions - such as the notion that real liberty is synonymous with the single detail of unrestricted economic license or that a rational planning of resource-distribution would contravene some vague and mystical 'American heritage' - utterly contrary to fact and without the slightest foundation in human experience?
Intellectually, the Republican idea deserves the tolerance and respect one gives to the dead.
Republicans in America really are this fucking stupid. Religion poisons the mind and exterminates all possible reasoning abilities.

JFK was born in 1917, which is to say 10-20 years older than the Band of Brothers. He would currently be 104 years old if he had not BEEN ASSASSINATED ... 58 years ago.
If you meant it was JFK, Jr masquerading as the twice-impeached, one-term former guy, he was KILLED in a plane crash almost 23 years ago.

«Отава Ё» — коллектив единомышленников, играющих в стиле фолк-фьюжн и народной песни, который появился абсолютно спонтанно в 2003 году. На тот момент никто из участников не предполагал, что этот эксперимент выльется в самостоятельную группу. Они прошли путь от уличных концертов и даже стали «городской достопримечательностью» Петербурга до экспериментов с русской традиционной песней и сольных концертов по всему миру. В гостях у Евгения Маргулиса музыканты поделились воспоминаниями и исполнили песни, под которые всегда хочется пуститься в пляс.
Otava Yo is a group of like-minded people playing in the style of folk fusion and folk song, which appeared absolutely spontaneously in 2003. At that time, none of the participants imagined that this experiment would result in an independent group. They went from street concerts and even became a "city landmark" of St. Petersburg to experiments with Russian traditional songs and solo concerts around the world. Visiting Yevgeny Margulis, the musicians shared their memories and sang songs to which you always want to start dancing.
